A few weeks ago my family and I started watching a Disney production based on the Marvel comics. It is called What If? .What If...? is an American animated anthology series created by A.C. Bradley for the streaming service Disney+, based on the Marvel Comics series of the same name. It is the fourth television series in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) produced by Marvel Studios, and the studio's first animated series. The series explores alternate timelines in the multiverse that show what would happen if major moments from the MCU films occurred differently.
It has sparked some interesting conversations between our family regarding What If? We think about past situations and apply various senarios and what we think the possible outcomes may have been and could have been in contrast to what they are now.
As i have discussed lots of times, Our brain is a powerful tool that can work for us and also against us. In previous blogs I have explored the relevance in controlling our thoughts etc. When imagining all the possibilities in life, sometimes it is easier to shut down than it is to ask “What if …?” While analyzing opportunities and possibilities, it can be helpful to break each decision down. Additionally, it is important to be completely honest with yourself during this time..
What if I took a different route to work?
I would meet see people I wouldn't have before. I will have a complete different experience, see and hear things I wouldn't have. Who knows where tht would lead?
What if I played different music?
I would hear new genres that I may not have listened to before. This then could lead me to go to a concert, that I wouldn't have before, and meet different people and have different experiences.
What if I did better in school? Would that have lead to different decisions and my life look completely different. Then I wouldn't be where I am today
We can't grow if we do not try. We can't make new experiences for ourselves if we do not pen our mind to the possibilites out there. If we do not make that change our world will stay the same until life changes it for us.
Never be afraid to ask yourself WHAT IF?
